What a year!

As we draw near to the end of 2019, the wedding season for this year is now pretty much over as everyone's attention is drawn towards Christmas.

As ever it's been a real honour to be part of some incredible weddings this year and to know that I have documented those special days for a lifetime, really puts a smile on my face.

looking forward to the 2020 wedding season, I’ll be adding some incredible new equipment to my kit to ensure that the quality of my work improves with each and every wedding videography job I do. I’m a great believer that you should learn something new from every single wedding, if you don’t then frankly, you're not being creative enough and are starting to go backwards!

It was an honour in November to be approached to view and digitise the very first wedding film that I shot back in 1994! Sourcing a VHS player was interesting but watching it back was even more so! The improvements in quality in 25 years has been phenomenal!

Following the loss of three close family members this year, it's also had its tough times, but has highlighted even more so, just how important a wedding video actually is. Because its only when you watch a film back several years later that you see & hear those special people who are no longer with us.

However, me being me, I decided to turn a negative into a positive and as such 2019 has also seen the launch of ‘Giving Something Back’ In a nutshell, I will provide one free wedding video a year to a deserving couple who have really had a tough time. More information about that can be found at https://www.mikepelling.com/giving-something-back

So if you are one of my couples already booked for 2020, I can't wait to be part of your special day!, and if you are yet to book or are on the fence about wedding videography then what are you waiting for? Give me a shout and let's have a chat! Don’t be one of those couples who regret not being able to watch back their wedding. I’m one of them (yes I know bit ironic!) and believe me, both my wife and I would love to be able to watch our day again.

So, all that remains is for me to wish all my couples, past and future, plus anyone else reading this! A very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

My Wedding Videography hat is now coming off for a few days to be replaced with a Christmas hat, or maybe some antlers?, elf hat?, tinsel?, singing Christmas Tree hat?..............Fade him out, someone!....please?!
